Why are there Cyclists Dismount signs all over the place but there are none saying when I can get back on my bike again?

Most confusing!

The legal status of a ‘cyclists dismount' sign depends on the type of sign. Where there is a ‘cyclists dismount' sign with a bicycle in a red circle, the instructions are mandatory under s.36 of the Road Traffic Act 1988. If not, the signs are advisory and there is no legal obligation to follow them.

Because they're country miles and different to town or city miles.

Why when they are jabbing you with a vaccine do they say sharp scratch? Jabbing a needle in your arm is nothing like a scratch.

They do that with all needle attacks IME which is quite extensive.

Somewhere in flattest North Yorkshire you used to able to come to a T junction which said Richmond 8 miles to the left. If you took that road, at the next junction was another sign saying Richmond 8 miles, pointing back the way you've come.
