The need to send reporters, to stand outside closed buildings, to tell us what happened there hours before
Gosh yes that's irritating! It seems to be the norm too, like Sustrans only ever expected cyclists to use the NCN to get into to the very next town centre, roughly, and that'd be it. I've got the official Sustrans map booklets, and even then you have to use other means (Google maps, RWGPS etc) to try and work out where it starts again on the other side of the town. It's cost me multiple lost hours and wasted miles trying to get "back on" an NCN.Why do national cycling routes direct you into a town and then the signage just stops?
Or send them to stand outside in a storm to report there's a storm. Soaking wet, hair plastered across face, shouting into mic to be heard over the wind. Senseless.
Or even 2 miles to the village. Why does a sign say 1 3/4 miles to a village then after 5 mins cycling you come across another sign and it is still 1 3/4 miles to the village.
Why do pedestrians not have to dismount from their feet and crawl across?Am I supposed to get up off my trike and push it over such junctions. Probably fall over if I did that.
