Really?
These two are usually mutually exclusive unless by endurance you mean a relatively short period. May I ask what you are training for? Do you use a power tap because I noticed in a previous post / thread you were quoting your power output in watts.
Sorry should have been a little more precise, 30-50% of my power at a given HR. The lower my HR the lower the power loss. I train as a challenge for my self mainly. I want to know I can do 1-2 hours at a high output without problems. As I've been told by several coaches, you either want to ride very fast or very slow. As I never seem to be able to do very slow on the road so I ride hard on the road. I have power meter cranks & ride on them as much as I can.

I use a pair of Lobster Cycling Mitts that I have had for several years now. As soon as the cold weather comes I get them out and they are perfect, because of the split fingers (2 in each half) they keep hands and fingers warm, gear changes and braking not affected. Good padded palms for comfort on the bars, wind/waterproof. Keep looking for another similar pair as these will eventually reach their sell by date!!!!!

Well, I have a ride planned for Saturday, so thoughts have now turned to getting the clothing right this time.

The current forecast is for a balmy 3 degrees, which isn't too bad considering the thermometer hit -6 on the way to dropping off eldest at pre-school this morning.

I am thinking, for the top half, roubaix long sleeve base layer, mid layer and wind proof outer layer.

I think that this time I will be taking my wind proof balaclava, just in case I get chilly.

A couple of pairs of gloves, a couple of pairs of socks, taped up shoes and roubaix tights.

Fingers crossed it all goes well as after my last cold ride it aggregated a damaged shoulder which is only just starting to feel better. Warmth, I think, will be key.

Guess I just go faster if I get cold...

Corr it was cold out there tonight; my water bottle froze!

Hands generally stayed warm in the cold and the wind with just my Polaris liner gloves, got a little cold but I cured it by putting in extra effort. I didn't realise how cold my feet were until I stopped and my toes didn't bend followed by the pain of them warming up. Going to have to sort that out as plimps, some thermal socks and trainer socks clearly weren't enough.
