Seen in one of my favourite beach bars in India.
I liked the writing, took a photo of it and asked my friend the manager what it meant.

He smiled, then laughed out loud. In Hindi it means Please don’t stand on the toilet (whilst having a dump) - the bit in brackets is what it implies.

Teaching them to read might not be as difficult as getting them to shut the gate. And if they can shut it, they can probably open it too. All of which makes the sign REALLY pointless 😄.

I saw one of these the other day at the end of a shared path. Actually it wasn't really pointless as I wouldn't have known what to do without it would I?

It was on the wall at a rooftop bar in Shanghai. I think the message is don't toss your glassware over the edge

I thought it looked like "Don't hit the toilet seat with a hammer"!

Yes, that IS a 'No Ball Games' sign for a narrow stip of overgrown ground dominated by laburnum bushes.
