That's the one, painful to watch although it looks slightly less windy. Those guys need to man up and do it in December:biggrin:

To make matters worse I did it again a week later...when it was still 35mph headwind. Isn't the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results??

Currently 85/102 on strava on that hill so we have unfinished business......

Nice video, what was the gradient on the climb?

Although they were all struggling it was interesting to see the mashers were finding it harder than the spinners.

Just illustrates the benefits of keeping a high cadence on climbs.

The gradient is nothing to worry about at that point - the damage was really being done by the wind!

The video certainly shows that standing up to put the power down on a cattle grid is not a great idea! A couple of the riders lost traction doing that.

PS Oops - actually, it is a bit steeper than I thought - I just checked my OS map and it is about 10% up there, but even I can get up that climb okay when it isn't blowing a gale.
