They have to be the most incompetent, bolshie, bad mannered delivery service out there! They tried to deliver a parcel to my flat last Wednesday, but I wasn't in, so they put one of those red/white and black cards through my door stating they'd taken it back to their sorting office 6 miles away. I went to collect it only to be told my parcel must still be in their delivery van. The following day they tried again very early when I was in bed. Again they left a card stating I had to make arrangements to collect my parcel from their sorting office or make have it delivered to an alternative address. A friend of mine who deals with such things for me arranged for it to be sent to one of my neighbours last Friday. The day it was due to be delivered to my neighbour's address they emailed my friend to tell her it was now due to be delivered the day after, which is today as I post. When I got down stairs today I saw another red/white and black card from them behind my door. This time it said they couldn't deliver it to my neighbour's flat as it's a 'special delivery item' that can only be delivered to me in person! So why did their website allow my friend to make alternative delivery arrangement for my parcel to go elsewhere, if it can only be delivered to me I ask??!!! They have my parcel and I can not get my hands on it now till Monday at the earliest and then no doubt they'll make excuses to not deliver it again! I have friends who have shops, who tell me that they've had serious delivery problems with the Royal Mail, both when sending and waiting for parcels. One even said that he refuses to use them, instead only using a private courier firm! The next time I think of buying something online I'll ask the seller first which delivery service they use and if it's the Royal Mail I won't buy the item, no matter how tempted I am to do so!

My postie is great, we've got no complaints at all. You've clearly never had experience of Evri.

Had email notification from supplier that my live plants were being shipped day 1. Day 2 they were delivered as per timeslot I'd been advised by Royal Mail, all good. And those plants were in the ground on day 2 as well.

Tell them if your not in to leave with the downstairs neighbour, I'm sure that'll work out fine 😉🤔

The dumb so and so who came today actually put number 1 on my card, thinking that was my flat. For a second I thought he'd left my parcel at number 1 and almost knocked on her door! Imagine the joy it'd give her if she knew of my anguish!!

Don't you have a post office somewhere nearby?

I sometimes redirect RM deliveries to my local PO if I am not going to be in.

My friend said she'll phone them on Monday and ask them to deliver it to the nearest to me post office, though if they now say it has to be delivered to me in person, I'm doubting they'll leave it at a post office!!🤔:headshake:
