I am serious..it was huge...and it was above the door frame so to get in or out of the room you had to walk underneath it.

We spent a week in the Amazon rain forest, every evening when you put out the gaz lights and shone a torch into the thatch roof of the huts you would see several sets of bright eyes refelected back at you like white LED's

Trantulas.

You leave them alone, they leave you alone, but we were vary wary of any dropping off the roof onto the table or worse still getting inside the mozzie net

I have got some very large spiders in permanent residence in my garage. However hard I try to persuade them to knot get themselves notted, they do. Then yet again, :ohmy:I have to untangle their legs, they are the sort of spiders with nasty hook things on the end of their great long furry legs. If you look very closely you can see that the body of a spider is very very small compared to the length of the legs.

They won't move outside the garage in case they get damp (aaahhhh) so they lurk menacingly at the back of the garage. I was hoping to rehome them, but no-one seems to want them. Fortunately they must all be male, as no baby spiders have appeared yet.

I think they are fantastic creatures - going to have to photo a few, as we had two huge 'common garden' spiders over the summer - got to know them we did...... the kids would check up on them every day........

Spiders are pretty interesting like how can something soo small ie the black widow deck a something soo big ie human - its pretty smart !

Surprising though how they've (some have) got such a killer dose of venom yet are very tiny compared to an elephant !

Interesting.

Not really my cuppa tea but interesting all the same and as long as they stay away then I'm not that bothered generally !
