Good Morning, another beautiful day forecast for Lancashire which I plan to spend on my allotment. We are away in the Lakes Tuesday to Thursday and I want everything shipshape before we go. We only returned from the Lakes yesterday afternoon after a weekend to celebrate a friend's wedding. The wedding party was Saturday evening so we popped up early Saturday for a walk and then had another walk on Sunday morning.

That aside no real excitments. I'm off to pack my stuff for the Lakes before I go to the allotment. If I get it done now I'll be able to relax quietly this evening.

A Walk to Wimborne this morning via the Wibbly Wobbly bridge. Held up by a bloody cyclist inching his way across 😁. Went past a new housing development and was pleased to see that Bat Boxes are being integrated into the brickwork.

Wen mad and washed my bike - it was rather covered in mud!

also done a quick clean of the chain and gears as the cogs on the derailleur were a bit clogged up with carp

then hosed it down to get the detergent off it

I'll stic some oil (not saying what kind to prevent THAT argument!!) on it in a minute and go for a ride
probably just the normal canal ride as it will be nice along there

Not surprised. The gaps look wide enough for his tyres to drop through?

Yes, 3 planks with a wideish gap, certainly enough for the tire to drop through, his wife had preceded him. Theres also quite a dip as you exit the bridge and his pedals were bottoming out as his front wheel was coming off the bridge. The third thing is that the bridge has a natural resonance, if you hit it right, or a group of you are crossing then the bridge starts to oscillate ( and squeak ) hence the locals referring to the " Wibbly Wobbly " bridge 😁
