Bin day tomorrow. Just put ours out. It's blue, grey and brown bins tomorrow.

You can always tell a nice middle-class area.........people automatically group the bins together by colour 🤣

We are more posherer than wat you are. Brown and grey are so drab don't you know.
We have blue (recycled), green (garden waste), and a nice shade of black for general waste

Interesting. Our local council here in Oz provides Red lid bins for general waste, yellow lid for recycling and green lid for garden waste.

I'm a big fan of this. In some UK areas all bins are black and have coloured lids. In other areas, mine for one, the whole bin is coloured.

This is so wasteful. It's cheaper to make one bin in one colour and simply add a coloured lid. The bigger issue is colour. Coloured plastic can only be made from white, virgin polymer. That is new plastic. Recycled plastic cannot be coloured, it's always black.

So we happily make new coloured RECYCLING bins out of virgin polymer thus making MORE plastic!!!! Who thought this is a good plan???

Bins should always be black with coloured lids.
