That's the grandson seen off. I booked tickets from Poole to Kings Cross and we took the underground. His train originated at Kings Cross so I escorted him to his reserved seat and got him settled. Had a word with the guard snd he said he'd keep an eye on him. His train terminates in Leeds and his dad is meeting him off the train so no worries about him ending up in Edinburgh 😉
I've messaged him and he is enjoying his journey.
Was Bristol to Leeds considered?

He should be pulling in on platform 9(used to be platform 6, before they renumbered them). And the exit is out of sight from where the train will pull to a halt.

Now, is it mum or dad that'll be meating him at the station!

Popped into the M+S shop on Waterloo station to grab a sandwich to eat on the return journey. I was contemplating grabbing a can of beer when I noticed that the own label cans of Gin and Tonic cost £2.75, or three for £7:00. They are 250ml cans and each contains a double measure of gin ( 50ml )
Seemes like very good deal.🤔

Getting from Poole to Bristol usually involves a walk between Dorchester South and Dorchester West, or changing at Southampton Central. The trains from Southampton to Bristol are usually 4 carriages with old rolling stock. It was simpler to get on the Poole to Waterloo train and take the underground to Kings X. Having said that, Mrs Tenkaykev won't use the tube, she has a phobia with escalators. We usually get the bus or walk, walking is good as we get to stretch our legs between sittling for long periods on the train. We've also cycled between the staions when we take our Brommies.

You know me too well! My shopping basket contained three cans of G+T, a cheese and onion sandwich, a Pain au Chocolat and a Pain au Raisin. I scoffed the sweet stuff first, washed down with a couple of G+Ts and took the third home for Mrs Tenkaykev. Her verdict was " Not bad " which means good. She's quite fond of Dorset Conker Gin with Fevertree light tonic.
