Nothing from Ernie this month.
I'm off to London with grandson this morning, I'll take him to Kings X and see him to his reserved seat on the train, mum will meet him at Leeds station. He's 13 and it will be his first unaccompanied journey. Then it's back across London for my train back to Poole.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

Yikes. I'd be a nervous wreck if that was my son travelling for the first time.

I'm sure he will be fine, young people are very resourceful and often not phased by things which bother us. Basically they don't see the potential for things going wrong.

If you have time spend a couple of hours wandering round the new developments at King's Cross. I really enjoyed the area.

Mrs Tenkaykev and I usually allow time to visit the excellent Euston Tap when we travel back from Scotland.

Morning
Busy day today
going to meet a lady from the Foodbank to talk about volunteering
I did volunteer at the local museum before Mother-in-Law got ill (and eventually died) and I was the only family member who seemed to be free to ferry the rest of the family to hospitals and such
then the pandemic
then when it re-opened they just never contacted me - dunno why but I have suspicions - the office manager is "not a people person"

anyway - see what I can do
Also - start of the month so I need to change the water filter and de-scale the kettle since United Utilities have added extra gunk to our water supply by putting more ground water in rather than mostly reservoir water

As far as weather goes - raining all day with promises of thunder a few times
except that it is sunny and the weather radar shows all the rainy stuff has passed us and gone well East some time ago

Still probably take the car out rather than the bike - not sure what to believe about wetness!!!

Morning!

Good start to the month for all you rich PB winners - hope you spend it wisely!

WET!

Mrs SD is doing the weekly shop whilst I clean the house.

I don't really like food shopping plus I get told off for buying carby rubbish; and Mrs SD loathes housework - in her words she is a self confessed 'lazy cow' when it comes to such matters.

It is damn nigh impossible to get a cleaner (and gardener for that matter) in our little village (which is probably a hamlet really).

Have a good day all.
