It’s Stoke On Trent day Just got to dodge the road works at Blythe Bridge
Morning all
Main job today will be getting my caravan ready for our week away.
Got to run & fill the fridge, put clothing and bedding in the van and double check tyres, wheel nuts, tow hitch etc.
We'll be off around 11am tomorrow with a bit of luck.
Got my neighbour organised to keep the plants in my greenhouse watered, so all should be good when we get back.

Bloody dentist cancelled just as I was leaving. That's twice that's happened. According to the receptionist my dentist isn't keeping well so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, although I strongly suspect they are doing their best to get rid of NHS patients.

Morning . All I was just about to head off to the sailing club to put our trailer out of the undergrowth and check it over before we go the the National championships next week. But it’s just gone very dark so I think I had better check the weather forecast first.

Good morning folks, Granson has just demolished two huge bowls of Hoops with whole milk. I checked his height this morning and he is 4" taller that the average for his age. He wants to go out on the Bromptons but my arm isn't up to cycling yet. The weathers a bit blowy and wet so we're going for a wander

My daughter had to go private as she was taken off the NHS list (due to Covid when nobody could go for over a year!) and has had to pay £260 for a filling. They basically said they only do 4 NHS appointments a day. It's coming to a point where we will have no choice but go private.

Yep.....with my illness and nursing Sue I have not been for 2 years. I have been with this practice for many years so it will be interesting as I plan to phone them tomorrow.

That was interesting, got back from lunch and was getting the molift to move my Good Lady from wheelchair to settee when I spotted some rubbish on the floor, when I went to pick it up it hopped, turned out that one of our resident grass hoppers had got in the house, I spent the next five minutes with a glass and piece of card evicting it.

Good Lord, it's cold and damp here, rain and drizzle all day. A tree has just come down on the top road about 30 minutes after I got home.
Mrs P has gone to see Oppenheimer with friends. I was invited but opted to stay home and do the housework. The film is over three hours and it's odds on I would fall asleep.
Short break from chores now, then it's more hoovering and make tea. Cauliflower and broccoli cheese bake with sautéed potatoes.......wicked but yummy!

I always use cheddar and parmigiana, teaspoon of mustard, ½ tsp cayenne and squeeze ½ a lemon in to my cheese sauce. Truly yummy.
