Morning all :hello:

Up early today. Mates coming round in an hour and then we're off to the Classic Bike show at Shepton Mallet. Will be a long day.
Mrs D said I shouldn't spend more than 2k.
I don't know whether she meant a target or a limit.

I have some motor bikes to dispose of, going to wait until spring though.

Morning all, woke up in Liverpool this morning and know that I am now ready to retire from the dent business, I know for me it will not be easy. I am also ready to move from my house in Lincolnshire over to Liverpool where I feel far more at home with the people, that is not going to be easy either as it will also be time to downsize.

Which part of Liverpool are you thinking of?

Hope it all works out for you. No hitches.

But it sounds like you have a plan, and it’ll be a new adventure.

That time of year, again, already?
No, 5 months away. Mrs P bought it for a friend.

Good Morning. It's brightening up quite nicely, no breeze and 8⁰. I woke at 3.30 and couldn't get back to sleep again, unusual recently, so got up and did some chores.

It's #2SP today so I've been to Manchester to collect her. Got home in desperate need of a snooze, very fortunately she fell asleep in the car and I got her in without waking. I've just had 30 minutes kip on the sofa and now have coffee. Feeling much brighter.

I'm going to quietly do more chores after coffee. At some point Mrs P, who is still asleep, will need to takeover. My bike badly needs a quick wash and a proper lube. This isn't an excuse, it really does need doing before Wednesday.

Interesting thing about people retiring. I have a good friend, 60, who wants to retire. Single all her life and has managed her finances well. For two years she's been asking my opinion. I keep telling her two things; yes, a) you have more than enough and b) see a financial planner. We met for coffee yesterday, she showed me the full financial plan, she was at last convinced and is handing in her resignation this week. I did the same nine years ago, it's very valuable that people get given this confidence with some proper financial advice.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
The sun is shining here as well. I have glue all over my hands as well.

I have a load of washing nearly finished now. I've been a busy bee.

Liver, bacon, onions, mashed potatoes and peas today.

The bin might turn up as well as the schools are out, so no work for him this week
