Afternoon all . Glad to see you all again.
Spending the day distracting my daughter , driving lesson , lunch, shopping etc as it’s her final disciplinary hearing tomorrow at 12.30 .
Finger crossed she can go back to work then. It’s been a long old process . ☹️☹️

We're out at a place called Hyde Hall, a RHS garden near Chelmsford in the wilds of Essex.

Trying to do some clothes shopping, seems that I have gone from XL to somewhere around Small to Medium this year, which means as usual nothing fits.

looks like my social life has been unlocked then!!!

Yes - I know but anyway

so - went to the doc this morning as I had a blood test form to pick up - apparently I need an annual one to check for pre-diabetes
dunno why - I did get sent on a course a few years ago but apparently by the time I got on one I had had 5 more tests and they were all negative
but anyway

Important thing is that on my way out - I walked - I noticed that there was a bloody great gap in the fence ta the end of the road - leaving a "handy" cut through where there used to be a thich hedge and fence
Now I knew that a tree fell down about 10 years ago in a storm and it broke a fence panel
but the hedge was so thick that is was never a concern

but now someone has cut the hedge down - it was about 40 foot high so more of a series of bushy trees - so the hole is clear

I am worried that people will start using it and it would make a neat cut through for the sort of people Drago used to chase for a living, to get away from any chasing cars etc
and generally people in general using the cul-de-sac as a short cut


anyway - apparently the house at the end is owned by a Housing Association who use it for sheltered accomodation, although it has been empty for years - so I have contacted them and asked what their plans are

When I went to talk to then a lady from "the other side of the hedge" has just been talking to them and she had a body language that was verging on shaking her finger at them
so I think the bloke was quite pleased that I understood that he was just a foreman who operated a chainsaw - and all I wanted was the name of the people in charge

we shall see where we get to!!

anyway - nice to see you all again!

Afternoon to one and all. I managed to sneak back in under the radar. I'm glad I didn't have to fall on my sword as it would have been a tad ouchy, plus the fact I still can't spell magnanimous.

Cold, wet and misty here, just like @Drago unmentionables.

My pocket is a lot lighter now.

I managed go walk past all the goodies without shoving them into a shopping bag, then into my face once I got home.
