RIght - relatives are annoying
some more annoying than others
context:
My wife's son has been living with his partner for years - oldest kid is 11 and they were living together a few years before that
Anyway - about 5 years ago they moved house
In the front garden - at the corner between the pavement and the driveway - was a bush - quite a small one
ANyway - over the years it has grown and they have made no attempt to trim it in spit of it encroaching into the drieway and scratching the cars that go onto it
so I got fed up and offered to take my hedge trimemr round to trim it.
She agreed as it " just needs doing now"
started it last week but had a technical issue with the trimmer (totally did NOT cut the cable with the trimmer and cut the power to the house - no no no not at all)
ANyway - we were picking the kids up from school this afternoon so I took the trimmer back and finished it off - or at least mostly as some of the branches need proper cutters
My wife - who is fussy and says it like it is - says I made a decent job of it considering how bad it was and how long it had been left
but SHE is not pleased - says she wishes I had left it so he could do it (and therefore get the blame!) and it just looks "hacked at")
well - you leave it for 5 years and it does tend to need a while to grow back!
she did back off and thank me for doing it - but in a non-enthusiastic manner
she really can be a miserable self centered git at times!
