Good morning all, sunshine and showers, still windy. Gusts were over 60 mph yesterday afternoon, today they are forecast to peak at 50mph by lunchtime.

I was doing my morning stretches and looked out of the window to see a gentleman come striding around the corner and head on down the road towards the shops. Nothing much unusual about that, except he was wearing a small Tricorn hat with a colourful feather ( as well as normal clothing). I've seen one local gent who wears a compact top hat, this chap was taller so I wondered if there's a new fashion trend 🤔
I sometimes shop for spices at an Afghani ethic shop, the owner wears a traditional Pakol / Chitral cap which would be my choice. 😎

Just been watching the Japanese Grand Prix - now watching Ted's Notebook
for those that do not know - he is a presenter who is very knowledgeable and woffles on about interesting stuff that had happened for over an hour and never get sboring
He also drags in passing people and anything else he finds - all without being embarrassing or sggressive

anyway - he was passing some food stalls
he was commenting on the local Osaka delicacy server from the food stalls

Octopus Balls

I naturally commented - "I didn;t know Octopus had....."
but my wife was already ahead of me

Sounds like it is windy out

so that is riding out - bound to end up riding into it on the way back!!

anyway - car needs a good wash - might go mad and take it to the Waves place at Tesco
don;t use the "Hand Car Wash" places scattered around local industrial estate as I'm not sure about the whole "modern slavery" thing
but I presume Tesco have too much to loose if the company they allow to use their premises was involved in all that so they probably check.
I may be being naive on that but anyway

or I may just do it myself!

anyway - off to Tesco soon in any case as we are running out of several things
after that I dunno - may scrub the inside of the air fryer - funfunfun

welsh dragon

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Well considering how windy it was, there is no damage to anything here. Hoorah

Windy here and was last night - but none of the trees at the back have blown down
yet

On another point - just renewed my car insurance

£100 higher than last year - which was not a surprise as i have a new car so it is worth more

but what was a surprise was that the price comparison sites gave a minimum of ANOTHER £100
so I went with the renewal

worried now about what it will be next year - didn;t take an extra £200 a year in account when I changed cars!

I nipped down to Richmond to see if the weather was better.

Toiling up a cobbled climb.
