Morning.

Spring has arrived, again. Lovely sunny day and set fair for the week. My old deckchair which saw some action a couple weeks ago will once more be called upon to do it's duty.

Not a huge amount planned for today, possibly a coastal ride with the wife around the local bays.

Last time I walked Snowdon, on the way down a runner came 'flying' past me, amazing.
Also, on the way up I met cyclists riding the whole way up!!!

I cycled up the Llanberis Path and down the Snowdon Ranger with a mate a few years ago..
October & it was 50mph fog @ - 1 at the trig point 😂

Regarding arrival of Spring, aside from everything coming into bloom which is lovely (around here get a lot of fields of rapeseed and the vivid bright yellow is gorgeous) I love the birdsong.

I'm not a birdwatcher/twitcher but I do love to sit in garden or stroll around a wood listening to birdsong. Aside from a few easy ones like blackbird and robin etc I can't identify them.
However, technology to the rescue. Inevitiably there is an app and the one I have on my phone is Merlin. It's free and you record the sounds and it identifies the birds. Brilliantly effective for anyone interested. I'll be in garden and think there are maybe only 3-4 different birds but it picks up 7-8 etc.
Really worth a try if you are interested.

We have trees at the bottom of the garden - and 2-3 of them are in blossom

which kinda looks nice

but makes a right mess on the patio!!

Still worth having them

That's an outstanding app, it's impressive that even distant song is identified 😎
