Due to my wife's son getting married in May - there is a Stag do coming up that I am supposed to be going to

I really don;t like this sort of thing.
firstly I know hardly anyone who will be there - and the groom's cousins that I do know might not arrive until late due to work problems

secondly - that means turning up to a pub - which is likely to be crowded - that I have not been in for many many years and never liked (the Philharmonic in Liverpool - it is famous for the Gents toilets!!!) to meet up with a group of peopel in a crowd and hoping that I recognise someone - which I hate doing even if I know everyone

Thirdly - apparently they are "having a few pints" - and I can;t drink beer any more - and then going to a "place" to play pool and beer pong
which sounds like something with "fun rules"
then going onto a somewhere with a stripper
and I have never liked "fun rules" and have never been to a stripper type thing that I liked
For some reasons I always think that the stripper is probably only doing it because she is desperate for the money and the places are normally dumps anyway

but apparently I have to go
I can see why - because if I don;t turn up and the Bride finds out then my wife will get the blame

Oh - and I have just found out that the original date was the 1st - presumably of April
I was told it had changed to the 15th - so I assumed April
but it is apparently 15th March - in 2 days time

Well, after my busy day today, it's time to go to bed.
Night night everyone.

That’s a nasty cough you’re developing there….time for a few nights in with Night Nurse 👀
👍

Just tell her it’s not your kind of thing….

She knows that
problem is that she wants me to be there to show support for her son
TBF I do like him - not a a "step son" which feels wrong as when I first met him he was over 30
but his kids are my grand kids and all that

so I do need to go
and anyway - his wife-to-be can ba super sensitive about stuff - so I need to go in case she finds out

anyway - I'll back out before the strip club and get the train home
he should be totally p****d by then!!

Good Morning all. The forecast is cloudy and 8C, not too bad. We have a morning of hospital appointments. Mrs P has immunotherapy. Mine is with the oral registrar. I have absolutely no idea why. I had a text last Friday reminding me of an appointment today. It's not very convenient with Mrs P's appointment but when I rang to change mine the next available was July 4th, I thought I better go along today and find out what this is all about.

When we get home I'll be on the allotment.

And finally I have decided to take a break for a while. Nothing to do with you good people or the forum. Just me needing a break. Look after yourselves and each other.

Good morning all.
My 'bad stomach' is on its 2nd day. Don't worry,no information apart from the fact that once again the bog called me at 0400 and I have been awake since then.
Not as cold today but still only 3° .

@PaulSB enjoy your 'break' as much as possible. I, for one will be thinking of you and your good lady. Never met her and likely never will but please give her my best wishes. From experience is a sh*tty time for all concerned.
Sermon over, bye for now
