yeh i had mine last week... do we still need to register then once you get there as i thought you'd of got these on the day when you register....
You might receive an email from the Prostate people very shortly to say if you've got your timing chip then you don't need to register - but you can always call them if in doubt.

There weren't any allocated start times for the Somerset version, we just had to turn up and go - don't take my word for it though, I think there are more riders entered for the Stoke version!

Good luck everyone!

I'll be riding a blue & silver SCR2.0 - I'm riding for a team from Gordons Honda, so will have some sort of team jersey (not seen it yet) will probably have Cycle Chat arm warmers on, so wave as you whizz past ;-).

So much for my early night. Bike ready and I'vejsut finished the house work. I've got my timing chip and number so no early registration for me.

If you see rider 3500 on the challengeroute give me a wave :hello:.

Finished..... Totally f**cked.... and now in bed.... think my time for the 100 mile was around 6 1/2 hours... my bloody computer reset itself at 90 miles so not happy... hopefully the official times out in next 48 hrs....
Killer course with some killer hills and my arch enemy the wind was out in force.... Had a very scary moment on the big hill dropping into the feed station just before gun hill whilst doing 42 mph i had the wheel wobble of wheel wobbles.. I thought the back tyre had punctured so was trying to slow and stop and how i didn't crash at around 25 mph was a miracle....
Fantastic organisation by the tour and the charity guys... the set up was second to non... feed stations were 1st class and feeding time was provided courtesy of marks and spencer !!!!!

Our little team got round the 80k in 3hrs 30ish (excluding feed stops) - very pleased for my brother in law, whose longest training ride 'til then had been 21 miles!

Fantastic course through some lovely countryside, and the "gently rolling" Challenge Ride rolled more than you'd expect - saw quite a few folk walking the hills, (not my brother in law though, who was determined to get round in the saddle). The organisation was superb - well stocked feeding stations staffed by friendly, helpful folk, good marshalling and signposting, and that finish - BLIMEY - fantastic atmosphere as we came in, folk banging the boards & cheering, and a Tour of Britain gantry to pass under... Just a brilliant event, and highly recommended.

Really enjoyed that :-) i can secomd the positive comments above. Great marshalling, friendly atmosphere and well organised. I ended up attempting a sprint at the end when everyone was banging on the boards. Not sure how fast I was actually going. I didn't see my speed on the bike computer, too busy trying to avoid the potholes. That last hill hurt a bit. A couple of people were walking it and one bloke was trying to stretch out a pretty painful looking cramp attack. I'm not on the official time spreadsheet so I've emailed to query.

A big chapeaux to all the young children who took part. Very impressive.
