For some reason her Mini Electric never seems to need to visit a petrol pump
Your Dad has clearly become a Mini nut like Mrs D. She's had some nice motors over the years but has never prattle on about any of them like she does the MINI, hence probably why she's bought a second one to go with it.
Good thing I went for the full 8 year manufacturer warranty extension option then, eh?BMW minis are plagued with quite expensive faults.
I wish I still had this, you could take it completely to bits with three sockets, a pair of Stilsons and a Engineers ball peeing hammer.
Something to be said for mechanical simplicity!I wish I still had this, you could take it completely to bits with three sockets, a pair of Stilsons and a Engineers ball peeing hammer.

Mind you, the current ones are nice in that regard in their own way. For example, quality fasteners, each one perfect and not cheap mild steel or pot metal tat. Every single electrical connector is of the sealed type. Paint finish is something Audi drivers could only dream of.
Obsessive attention to detail, which is probably why they cost 50% or more than a similar sized Fiesta. Mind you, everything is crammed in and I personally wouldn't want to contort myself to work on one, although I'm going to have to on the JCW.

I would never buy a Ford. I used to work on the team that developed the original Transit Connect in the late 90s / early 2000s. Better the devil you *don't* know.
One guy I was at uni with had an Innocenti Mini - which was certainly a bit different. And quite a rare beast.
