That junction is imho a safe one, as there is clear visibility on all approaches (yes on the approach from the Tesco roundabout you have to wait until you clear the hill, but then it's clear).
I do that junction regularly both on 2 wheels and 4 (I can't fit 7 dogs on the pannier rack), but have seen a few cars in the ditch, so I guess it's just quality of driving, and ability of attention.
