How much does it cost to Oldham?
The Square Cafe Bar in littleborough will do you a decent pot of tea just after you've climbed cragg vale and dropped off blackstone edge.

I know of loads of decent caffs' but can never remember the names of them!

Good call, Graham... I was going to mention that... bacon sarnies, superb tea, cycling memorabilia all over the walls and of course Gibbet Cake, before tackling the hill up to Winter's Gibbet... splendidly spooky on a December afternoon...;)

I saw that... it's excellent. ;) Can we add to it?

If you don't see your favourite cafe on there, just PM me a precise link via google maps or at least full postcode and name and I will add it. Remember that there are 3 pages to click through at the bottom of the left side of the google maps, so go through them all to make sure yours isn't already on there. They don't all show up on the same map, you have to go through each page - limitation of Google Maps.

Hi dodgy... would an OS grid ref do? Can't find it's postcode, and not sure how to do the google link thing...

How to do a Google Link:

1. Go to Google Maps
2. Zoom to the precise location of the cafe (might be helpful to use satellite view)
3. Right click on the location and select centre map here
4. Now search for the name of the cafe in the search box at the top of the page
5. Pick the pushpin that shows up on the map that you know to be the location of the cafe.
6. click on it and select 'send'
7. Choose the 'email' option and copy the text out and put it here or in a PM.

If you put it here everyone can click on it and see the name and location of the cafe. Far better than describing its location.

Example:

EUREKA
UK
Link: <http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sou...0.111151&z=14&iwloc=A&cid=3277908782199552455>

Ta, added it with a yellow pushpin so you can pick out the ones added by cyclechat members.
If anyone else adds any here, just add a short description and contact details/address.

for instance:

"Impromptu Cafe, Elsdon, Northumberland
UK
Nice outdoor seating.
Try the coffee it's great
Avoid sausages
01234 567890
1 acacia avenue
Somwheresville
AA1 1BB"
