Watching an old Ian Dury and The Blockheads live gig on the TV, still gutted I never saw them live at the time.

Oi oi! Wotcha.

Tomorrow is a wash out apparently which is okay 'cos I got a pedal in today and so I can stay up late. [Rebel me].
The DW's will be out the door early which mean it's Just Beans and I and we can get up to mischief. But he may be just a square pants because that's sleepy time for him. Maybe I need another cat...

@Reynard I had Chicken Biryani and Pita bread washed down with Old Speckled hen.

Let's see what's on council TV... Engerland vs Albania. No thanks.

Last of the aloo keema tonight, with some home made naan, straight from the oven.

I *did* watch the footy.

Spotify on, but only because we are in the hot tub, first visit for the current wife since breaking her ankle a couple of weeks ago.

Just to tease me the youngest and his girlfriend have gone to the local. Got a horrible feeling I will have a tab open by the time I get there tomorrow

There is optimism and then there is pessimism and then there is realism. Are they lightweights? Can they do the washing up and mop floors?

Lately my Fridays have been very similar. Usually a couple of Duvels while listening to the same album of Josquin des Prez chansons. Sometimes mix it up and have a La Chouffe instead.

Comes around quick, dunnit?

Very spicy sweet potato curry with home made Pitta bread.
Then some council TV, feet up.

Weather has been... advance April showers.

Have you hears Josquin's Pange Lingua Mass?
I particularly like this version by the invariably superb Tallis Scholars

They got the runner up recommendation on Radio 3 record review as the pundits felt the number one slot was more authentic for the religious nature of the piece. Maybe true but the Tallis Scholars version is just thrilling. I bought both versions

I've heard it, I don't know it well. The first thing I heard was 'La déploration...', the Clément Janequin ensemble version. Then I bought a CD with that on, plus a whole load of Josquin chansons. I like the chansons in part as they're understandable with a basic knowledge of modern French and Google. Motets and masses less so what with the Latin, I can follow a couple of the motets. I haven't spent enough time listening beyond that so far.
