Accy if you get the job,tip us the wink about the game against Rangers i will corner the market in Mars bars and get a deal at a local chippy.

Accrington Stanley and Celtic xx( supporting John Coleman wanted to play a friendly a few years ago against Celtic, or maybe it would've been a 'Celtic eleven' as they call it when they play the fringe/youth players etc. It would've been a pre-season friendly for John Coleman's testimonial season. Celtic FC were up for it, as they say, but the local plod definitely weren't! They bigged up the threat of 'disturbances', estimating that even if it was a Celtic eleven and not the first team/squad there would've been 5000 'pisched up' Celtic fans in Accy that day, trying to get into the 5000 capacity ground!

In the end we played Burnley's first team xx( in a pre-season friendly/testimonial instead. Which sounds more manageable, but even they brought many peed up fans, albeit 3, not 5 thousand.

I've always said, if either Rangers or the other mob were playing tiddlywinks, 50,000 (refreshed :becool:) fans would turn up.

Sounds like you got a lucky escape there Accy, as its not always just the threat of disturbances that would be concerning, the smell would have been unbearable.

To give this Accrington v Rangers kickabout some legs, you could get other teams involved and make a wee tournament out of it.

Killie played in The South West Challenge Cup against Blackpool, Bideford and Torrington back in 2010. Bit of a hike to get to, but it was a fun few days away.

You could get Burnley and Blackburn involved which would make things interesting and probably draw some decent crowds.

My memory might be playing tricks on me, but I think Rangers have already been involved in similar with English sides and a couple of Dutch teams. As you say, a fun few days away would be great.

Not sure. Rings a bell though.

Definitely a more popular option than some random "warm weather" kickabout in Spain or wherever.

The SPFL Trust Trophy? The final is on March 24 - The New Saints vs Airdrieonians. I believe it's on Alba, possibly S4C too?

Possibly live on YouTube, too.

I can see Brendan being given his jotters if Celtic don't win the League, it's entirely possible they won't win anything, I can't remember the last time that happened.

I hate doing our league down, but it has felt overall quite poor this season with most teams relying on a couple of quality players to get them by, Killie very much included in that: without big Vass, Watkins and Armstrong we'd be nowhere near where we are. It looks as though Livi are finally going down though, which is grand by me because they truly are rotten and their away support is embarrassing.

With apologies to @Mo1959 and @cookiemonster it would also be quite funny to see Aberdeen down too, or at least struggle in a playoff. This may come back to bite me on the arse with our cup game coming up, but since McInnes left something has gone seriously wrong there!

My arse has been well and truly bitten. Fair play to Aberdeen, they wanted it more and we played more poorly than we have in a long time. 3 deflected goals is very annoying though!

Didn't see it, but switched on just as they were showing Shinnie's goal about 50 times. To be fair, it was a peach.

It was, albeit via a deflection.

Weirdly, Warnock has stepped down. Bizarre timing.

Just saw that, didn't believe it at first.
