An A3 self-healing cutting mat.

I've wanted one since university days and a fellow student just gave me one out of the blue.

A miracle.

My favourite PS1 game, Worms Armageddon, bought for me by a very thoughtful workmate. I don't involve myself with the secret santa thing, so it came out of the blue and I feel really quite touched by it.
Quality game!
My favourite thing to do was place the steel girders and the kamikaze worm move!

The suggestion by SWMBO that we didn’t exchange gifts this year as we buy things for each other throughout the year and it would be buying gifts for the sake of it. Didn’t change Christmas for us at all, really. I did get her a pair of gloves as I’d heard her mention it to a friend, so we’ve agreed that she’ll make it up to me when we have the house to ourselves.

For most of this year I had been casting envious glances at a mantle clock in a local shop, until about the middle of October, when first it grew a “sold” ticket then disappeared. “ah, well“ I thought, someone else is happy.
Yule morning, 8 o’clock, an unfamiliar chiming, opened eyes, the subject of my horological lust is looking at me! Yay! Happy bunny!

A bottle of Mead received at Christmas is the present that i keep somewhere safe and enjoy months of anticipation before opening.

The last one i opened was a delicious metheglin (spiced mead). I have some plain mead and an elderflower variant in the cupboard currently.

The 1st time i fermented my own mead was a fantastic success, although three of us sharing the entire gallon in one sitting was .... messy. The next attempt didn't taste nearly so good; must try again!

As a family we don't do Christmas presents. My sisters send me wine, I send them flowers. We buy a present for my mum and mil. My wife buys pyjamas for all the kids, their partners and me so we are all wearing matching clothing on Christmas night.

The 2 mums do send us some money. I used some of that to buy a Carradice Super C saddlebag.
