To me it just sounds like the sort of term a Yorkshire bus driver would use. I regularly get called petal, flower, love, lovely etc

Kindergarten has a very long list of banned things, most of which are made up on the spot.

It's fine to use derogatory terms, unless its against someone who dresses to the left. Then they get jolly upset and ask why the police aren't doing anything about it.
