Enjoy it - I came from a Carrera MTB hand-me-down which had been used for triathlons to this :

Bought it at the LBS for £380 , more than happy with it, nice quality for the price especially as it's an early 2015 model so still has the better kit from the 2014 one (shimano alivio rather than altus)

Yes I am very happy with it. My only gripe so far is I managed to get the chain off at the front twice this afternoon, and I suspect this is due to a cheap derailleur. Will I benefit from upgrading it at all?

Is it worth it?

This bike is just the start though......................

Did this happen when changing gear? If so, you probably need to adjust the limit screws on the derailleur, which should prevent this happening. Its an easy adjustment to make, see

Yeah it'll be the limit screws then, if you adjust them it'll stop, if you can't change down to the lower gear, you've gone too far

I would take it back to the lbs. While the derailleur is cheap mine work ok. Have dropped.the chain a couple of times but I have seen that happen on a lot more expensive bikes too
