Just did enough miles early this morning out just before 6am sat in an Earls Barton bus stop 3 and a bit miles later fitting a new inner tube after getting a flat rear tyre, first spare tube wouldn't inflate so presume I caught it during fitting so in with second tube which inflated ok so headed home to swap bikes so off again heading to Moulton, Holcot , Red House crossing,Orlingbury and home with 33 miles under me instead of the planned 40+ .
Tubes inspected at home looks like original one had perished and second one had been caught during fitment.
