My backs of my hands are awful at this time of year. The chemicals I work with don't help and the cold weather dries them out completely, leaving them cracked and sometimes bleeding. I have a bag of disposable poly gloves and I wear them to bed after covering my hands in a generous helping of E45. It helps.
