If you suffer from dry skin, you might try getting more fish oil in your diet. I get dry skin in winter, and whilst moisturiser patches the symptoms nicely, the cause is better addressed through diet. That's not to say diet is the cause of your symptoms.

As my wife is a dietitian I'll defer to her opinions on this (i have oily fish twice a week anyway)!

Unfortunately it runs in the family, so genetics is my enemy.

Men and women alike all need this stuff when it's this cold. I heartily recommend Neutrogena's heavy duty stuff for dry skin with SPF 15.
Yesterday my face felt really sliced on my way to work and dry and cracked after my shower so I bought it in my lunch hour. The ride home and the cycle in this morning were so much better.

And for any boys worried it's for girls, it's technically vital outdoor sports equipment.

Yes, I use this as well.

I'm using E45 on the top of my thumb which constantly splits probably because I cut it some years back. It's left a weak spot. If I think about it, I treat it before it develops into another cut. I don't naturally use rubber gloves for washing up, it's a bit posy but recently won't put my hands in washing up water or peel vegetables without them.
