Men and women alike all need this stuff when it's this cold. I heartily recommend Neutrogena's heavy duty stuff for dry skin with SPF 15.

Yesterday my face felt really sliced on my way to work and dry and cracked after my shower so I bought it in my lunch hour. The ride home and the cycle in this morning were so much better.

And for any boys worried it's for girls, it's technically vital outdoor sports equipment.

Feeling the cold a bit - seem to have some very dry/red patches round both eyes and on forehead - using aquious ointment at the moment - think it could be mild psoriasis

Not ashamed to say as a geezer that I moisturise every day
Keeps me looking young... or so I tell myself

It's my fingers that really dry up. I forgot to put some E45 on this morning, and the skin around my finger joints is all dry and rough. Eugh!

I use a barrier cream on my hands, my dad and other half are tradesmen an swear by it.

Funnily enough, I've been doing a lot of DIY work in our new house. I think the dirt makes my hands drier. Probably best I get someone else to do the work then....:laugh:

Try getting some barrier cream then, Atrixo's good. It's meant to stop the nasty chemicals causing skin problems. Plaster, paint ans white spirit are awful for causing dry skin.

Ah, at last, a chance to confess.

Being brought up on the farm, I spent much of the first 20 years of my life washing in diesel and white spirit and having no problems at all. Unfortunately, after a particularly stressful period (or maybe just the onset of middle age ;) ) I started getting dry skin on my hands and the "t zone" of nose, cheeks and forehead to the extent that cycling unprotected can have my knuckles cracked and bleeding within an hour in this weather.

I use Nivea for Men Rehydrating stuff for my hands, but I find it a bit greasy so I use L'Oreal (because I'm worth it  ) Men Expert Pure & Matte on my face. As a barrier/moisturiser, I've found nothing better than Neutrogena Norwegian Formula although Vaseline works well as a basic barrier cream.
