TH 7700 BB upgrade....advice reqd....

TH7700 bottom bracket removed.

It reads 68mm, and the crank length measures 110mm.

My question is, will any cartridge Bb fit, or should I be looking, perhaps measuring the flats on the taper?

Also, as I have Sora gear, will I need a Sora BB?
And, at Sheldon Brown, he shows the differing quality of BB HERE , and are the measurements 68x110mm available in each category?

Any square taper BB with a 68mm shell and a 110mm axel will do. Usually a bit wiser to spend a little more.

OK - any will do - just go of those 68/110.

Try and get a better cartridge bb, as you'll get the metal lock ring.... the plastic ones can be dodgy.....

I presume that you have English threads in your bottom bracket ? if not you'll need an italian threaded BB .
Any square taper BB will do as previous posters have said, that includes Campagnolo ,Miche, mavic, Stronglight etc
this would do for example, it has steel cups

I'm certain the threads are British, I've got some vouchers for a LBS, and I'm getting a UN54 BB tomorrow. Hopefully, that'll solve my problem, and I'll be back on my bike Thursday!

I also used the last of the vouchers to grab a truflo micro Co2 inflator, Wowee....!

(not bad for £5's worth of raffle tickets eh...?)
