HI there, I've got the tesco computer: you need to press left and right button at the same time to reset distance. It will not affect the other values. It will reset also average speed. try and let me know, I haven't actually done it yet, but it says so on the instructions.

The instructions that came with my Bikemate were in English and IIRC the manufacturers web site was listed and it was good too.

Shame my mate only passed me the comp, not the instructions

well i have done it once (saved.. distance travelled, wheelsize data and time of day.. cancelled av speed top speed and time of last journery) but dont know how I did it and every time I try to do it again either nothing or lose all data. Holding both in definatly clears all, even if as pat suggested hold one and then the other after a few seconds... I think HLab has it but just need to work out which screen to be on when I press the buttons! every time i get it wrong it clears so have to put it on the bike and spin wheel to get new data! by the way this is my first racign bike with skinny tires and thin valve. I have a hand pump which works but I only seem to get it to 40psi i think should be 100, and a double barrel foot pump with a brass adaptor which is useless (or Iam).. I seem to bend the end of valve and get no where, any experience on what is best?

Ok, from the instruction leaflet:
To reset Trip Distance (DST) to zero, press the left button for 2 seconds while in DST menu.
TM (trip time) and AVS (average speed) will also be reset.
I've just done and it works.

put a chalk mark on the floor outside, put a chalk mark on your tyre. line the 2marks up and push the bike forwrd so the front wheel completes 1 full revolution. mark the floor where the line on the tyre is and measure the distance between the original line and the last line in mm that is the 4 digit number to enter in the computer.

what size is your wheel/tyre as i have a starting guide i could look at for you

Just saw this: like Subaqua said, but I used a bit of red electrical tape on the floor and the side valve to mark the revolution of the wheel.
Sorry, I don't have a scanner. If you like I can send you the instructions for an aldi cycle computer, I have lost the magnet, so it's no use to me. The system to set the wheel size is the same as the tesco's one.

It's best if you measure the rolling circumference of the wheel as described earlier in this thread. Even if you had the sizes from the instructions the figures included in those are usually quite inaccurate in my experience.

all i need is the number to put into the system , i need the number for 26 x 1.95 wheel i konow its a 4 digit number but i dont recall what it is could any one post the 4 digit number on here , i personally have found the numbers from the instructions to be pretty accurate for the type and distances i ride / cover
