Obviously time will tell but just wondering if anybody uses them.

I was faced yesterday with both my Canon cartridges expiring. £58 at Currys (a wee bit cheaper on line) . However I am in Tesco yesterday purchasing the Christmas booze and I came across there own brand printer cartridges. The same pair were £28.

A massive saving of £30 but obviously gets me thinking on the quality / longevity based on the premise that something "has to give" for them to be so much cheaper.

Anybody used them , happy / not happy with them?

Do they actually work? I've had printers that wouldn't accept non genuine (I've had the HP monthly sub since getting my inkjet pro about 8 years ago)

I bought Tesco ink cartridges last month as it was a case of buy them or wait 48 hours for the Epson cartridges.
There was instructions on how to bypass the non genuine warning, I’m happy with them and if available I’ll purchase them again.

I have used them in the past, with the Canon printer we had. The HP printer we had before that was temperamental when it came to non-HP branded cartidges.

We bought a new printer last April, and Epson one, and find it cheaper to use their subscription service, with the small quanity we print.

Yes vickster. I put them in the Canon and Bob was my uncle. No faff, no non genuine warning, it didn't even do a test page just printed the document I needed and came out fine.

I suppose I will find out in time about longevity but as I am now retired I don't do a lot of printing, just personal stuff, so I don't change them that often anyway.

Cool it wasn't clear if you had actually bought and fitted 👍🏻

That was a deliberate tactic by many manufacturers and has since been deemed as unlawful in the UK, so only legacy printers tend to suffer now.

Dunno, I haven't tried with this printer. I pay the £3 a month sub and they just send me new cartridges as needed and I send the old back in prepaid bag for recycling

I've had problems with a HP printer too. Refilled cartridges from any supplier worked fine with previous printer but can't remember the make of printer.

I used to use Tesco own-brand cartridges in the past with my old Canon S900, and they were decent enough. Until they stopped making them that is, whereupon I swapped to other knock-off cartridges from Amazon.

No such problems now, as I have an Epson eco-tank printer and can just buy bottles of ink.
