Yep, I have had it for over 4 months. Saw a consultant privately 10 days ago, after lots of physio which didn't help, had a steroid injection, which fingers crossed seems to have done the trick (bl**dy sore for 48 hours after though)...managed to row 1k last night in gym, no way could have done that 2 weeks ago

Best thing to do initially is stop whatever is causing it - is it dominant arm? (mine isn't). You can also try ice, heat, anti-inflammatories

Two of them, now, for months. Nothing has worked, so I guess I'll have to go the doc's and get the injection. Sometimes it's OK, sometimes very sore and if I ever bang my elbow, it brings tears to my eyes. I can't really grip and lift either.

Immodium? Is your elbow no longer effective?

Had one a few years back - it was a case of trying to avoid putting undue pressure on the joint and letting it heal naturally (2/3 months as I recall).

I had medial epicondylitis (Golfers Elbow) which is on the inside of the elbow as opposed to Tennis Elbow which is on the outside.

Only treatment for the immediate pain was anti inflammatory pills and gel. Along with an ice pack.
The longer term process for healing was rest, stretching and strengthening the forearm muscles.

Speak to your GP and get to see a Physio, they might suggest a few exercises.

Ride a bike, easy. Fixed ish......

It was cycling that caused mine (I think)...physio (taping, massage, acupuncture, ultrasound) and rest didn't work for me, hence the injection. Could see shadows on the tendon on the ultrasound...hoping it's all fixed now, don't fancy surgery

I've had Tennis Elbow for the last couple of months. What has really helped has been a decent support. I've 2 of these:

http://www.lp-supports.com/products/tennis_elbow_and_elbow_supports/

The short 701 for every day and the longer 723 for cycling and heavier labour. They certainly provide relief and support. I don't wake up with elbow pain any longer and most days now it's less of an issue, not gone but faded.

Might get one of them. In general mine is not so bad with periods when it is but it just won't go away.
