I bought a pair of standard shorts just for the turbo trainer mainly but I found the pad too inflexible and not very comfortable. My fave are decathlon 700 (or 520) bibs. Just picked up another pair for 20 quid in the sales.

Also tried a cheap Tenn gillet but the zip was knackered on it straight out of the bag.

Not saying I wouldn't try them again but decathlon stuff seems much better quality for not much more cash.

I got two different types of bib shorts and one had a high front and one had the standard. it didnt go all the way up mind. I did 78 mile in the ones with the high front padding and they were comfortable. I ordered another pair of these for my 2 days coast to coast. will check out decathlon too!

I've bought some Tenn Bible shorts
Praise be, bless these here butt cheeks

Ba da boom, tishhhh... Thank you, am here all week :-)

On a serious note though, I bought a few Tenn Long sleeve base layers and I think they were about £12.99 each from Amazon and they are fantastic for cool summer night rides or warmish spring days when you just want something thin under a short sleeve jersey to keep the edge off.

Now that its getting colder, I tried one out the other night under a thick'ish long sleeve jersey and was bloody baking, even though it was 10deg out, ankles were chilly but top half was well toastie.

They have reflective arrows on the cuffs too, and don't have that annoyingly tight polo-style neck, so it breathes quite well. Ordered 3 more now so don't have to wash the same one 3 times a week :-)
