Don't know much about the bikes, but you can't beat a proper try out and good advice from a decent LBS. If you're ever unfortunate enough to have to use that warranty, you know you'll have a whole lot less hassle too.

My husband has an Orbea onix he loves it - he's knocked 12 minutes off his everyday 12 mile morning run on it.

Like you he went to a LBS and got fitted up for one, read all the spec about them and is delighted with it... he just got a bit nervous when he came downhill for the first time!!!! VERY FAST hope you really enjoy it

I was in my LBS on Sat am and saw what I think was an Orbea Aqua which looked absolutely stunning. I may well go back armed with plastic...

My LBS is an Orbea dealer and I've bought 2 bikes from them (Enol in 2004 and an Artea tourer this year). Every time I go there I drool over the display bikes and am very tempted to add to the collection.
The owners and staff in the shop are always very helpful and they even make the occassional trip to the Orbea head office to find out what's new etc.,

I think you've made a good choice and will hopefully get good back-up and service from your LBS.
