Hi, can anybody help. I have bled the system and still the brakes dont feel right. When I pull the lever the brakes work great and stop the bike but there just seems to be an excessive amount of travel in the lever. It doesnt touch the bars but comes close and I am sure I have done everything correctly. I even bled them a second time to make sure but same result. Please help

Have you checked the reach adjustment of your lever and readjusted the pads after bleeding?. Visit www.tektro.com and look at their 'SUPPORT' section. You can download the owner manuals there which will give you all the technical info. you need. It may help to solve your problem.

Had same problem with my son's Tektro brakes.......a year or 2 ago. I wasn't sure (At that time I had always avoided hydraulics) so he took it to the LBS who bled them and they felt better for about a day before returning to their previous sloppy state. So with nothing to lose I stripped them down and found one of the pistons had seized. I managed to free it off and clean it and it has been fine ever since.
