hi,front brake on bike is not very good, what i have noticed is the pads are a long way from the rim.
does anyone know how much space there should be between pad and rim and also the best way to adjust them.
have looked on tektro website at instructions for the 520 brakes, but having trouble working them out
thanks in advance

If your wheel is true you should aim to leave no more than a 2mm gap between pad and rim. For the cr520 lowering the yoke (i.e. lengthening the brake cable connected to the brake lever) will increase mechanical advantage (at the expense of tyre/mud/guard clearance), once you have settled on a yoke height shortening the straddle cable will move the pads closer to the rim.

This is a good general guide.
