Great ride last night @Goldwolfie. I crashed on the start line and had to rejoin - when I left the session there were 51 on the start line but when I rejoined only 38 were in the ride. Anyway my restart had me about 30 seconds behind on the start. I was never aiming to better my previous time and this was a mid paced ride. At least. I hoped it was.

I caught up the stragglers easy enough then saw GW about 40 seconds up the hill. I pushed on thinking I could help you on the climb but you was hard to catch!! When I finally brought you in I hope I helped enough to get you over the top in good health? :okay:

I was then expecting a nice gentle roll down the hill to the finish but you had other plans! I was spinning so fast I needed another gear or 2 to stay with you. You blasted that descent. In the end you wasn't too far behind @rob01792

As for Skukfego, what does he gain by his bonkers times? Surely it can't be satisfying being so far ahead of the pack and knowing it's not realistic. Or maybe he thinks he really is that good

ive been having that there's maybe 50 riders but when I log in its only a few riders on the start line lastnight I logged in and out 3 times to get the riders to show still I didn't see GW the same happened last week
and now ive fallen off the 1st page I think some reruns in order

Good morning to all,

I have been reading your chat last months and today I decide to register, so I can practice my poor english!! jjijijii

Incredible session yesterday, but I don´t know why, I was in another session and no with Jacob, Alberto.... without references it was a surprise when I see that I was only 15 seg behind Super Jacobs time.

See you!! ;-)
:welcome:
Just don't mention switching the bkool off and on mid ride though...

My first ride last night was a rerun of CG 2 with ghosts. Tried to stay wil @BILL S at the start but far too strong. This put me in the red and under pressure from @Brusgaard and @bridgy who both gained a few seconds on me.

I relaxed a bit and held the deficit, on occasion pulling past their ghosts. The game changer though was a ghost called Jumnana (sic) who was going a nice even pace. I sucked his wheel a bit and that, with the even pace, dropped Brusgaard. Couldn't catch bridgy though. Got as close as 6 secs which was how it ended. In the last few km I was trying so hard to drop Jumnana ghost and grab bridgys wheel but didn't have the legs :B)

Enjoyed that ride though
Good ride @Whorty :okay:

Great ride on stage 11 of the Summer Cup - I see you're placed right in between me and @AAAC 76C on the overall standings - you should consider joining our own Chaingang league as it looks like we'll have some close races! If you fancy it, just request to join the "Cyclechat Chain Gang" league on the Bkool website and let us know on here when you have and one of the admins will accept you.

Thanks @Whorty and I wish I could of took advantage of your assistance last night. Problem was that but I never saw you or Rob at all during the ride.

I did my usual slow and steady climb up the hill, but thankfully it wasn't too long, and I had plenty left for the downhill bit and managed to overtake a few who had shot passed me on the climb.

I'd be fine if it wasn't from them ere hills - perhaps I should keep to the velodrome and see what this Keiren is all about.

I know its a bit cheeky but just in case in of you die hards fancy a change for a bit:

LATEST PATCH
Hi all, the lastest patch has been released, which includes the new map overlay and sweeper beacon.

First and foremost, the Minimap is here! With this small scale map in the top right corner of your screen you should be able to more easily determine where people are at any given moment. You can even click it to toggle between 3 different views.
Icons shown on the Minimap include:
Other Zwifters (dimmed out if they are in a different sport than you)
Friends
Favorites
A/B/C/D/E group riders (in events)
Event Leaders (in events)
Event Sweepers
Timing arches
Workout portals
A second change you may notice is we've added an action bar to the Windows and Mac version of Zwift. This has been a long time feature on our iOS version and now it's found it's way to all the platforms.
To use it, simply press the UP arrow key while riding. LEFT and RIGHT arrow keys will allow you to select items, and ENTER will trigger the action. DOWN will hide the bar again, or it will auto-hide after a short time.
Other notable enhancements and fixes include:
'Riders Nearby' list will now show mini celebrations when a fellow Zwifter does something notable. A little Ride On button will also appear next to their name to make it easy to congratulate them.
Race results will now let you show combined results across all sub-groups of an event, as well as view results per-subgroup.
Race results now will let you follow or favorite riders directly, as well as give a Ride On if you thought somebody deserved it.
Ride Sweeper is now an option that can be added to group rides. Just like the Ride Leader, an event organizer can designate somebody as the sweeper to help those at the back of the group. A red icon and beacon is used to designate this person if there is one.
The main screen before you ride will now show what sport a Zwifter is currently participating in. People in the sport of your choosing will be sorted to the top of the list.
When choosing to 'Ride With' or 'Run With' somebody, your route will be set to be the same as the person you chose to join. This way you continue together at intersections without having to manually choose a direction.
A few new hairstyles added, and more feminine hairstyles sort towards the front of the list in the customization screen if you are female.
If you have a workout that was created with the TrainingPeaks workout builder and have it scheduled on the calendar, Zwift will download it and show it in the workout selection screen automatically on the correct day. NOTE: you will need to disconnect and re-authorize your TrainingPeaks connection here to grant Zwift access to see your workouts.
Fixed crash that would sometimes happen for users in an event with a ride leader.
Running time splits view added.
Running achievements added.
Several running workouts added.
Korean language translations added.
Arrow keys now allow you to navigate through the customization screen. UP/DOWN select category, LEFT/RIGHT choose item.
B'Twin 100 and 500 classic trainer profiles added.
Fix for occasional issue where Mac users would have to double-click on everything to get the click to register.
Fixed issue where doing a spindown calibration on a smart trainer could disable sim-mode for a ride.
Simpler shadows used for bikes and riders on lower-end 3d hardware to make group rides more fluid and enjoyable.
Crowd volumes and cobbled road volumes reduced.
Fixed issue where spindown button could erroneously appear on a power meter in the pairing screen.
For those looking for more roads, don't worry - we are getting close with our next course expansion and we think you'll love it.

That is so funny ... so you didn't even know we were riding together :banghead: It did show on my screen that you was drafting my avatar, so maybe even though you couldn't see me maybe you did get some advantage ... who knows? You also said we caught people on the descent .... interesting but all I could see was Rob about 45 seconds ahead. On my ride we didn't pass anyone on the way down, even though I had to ride like i'd stole it just to stay with you!

Seems it was all a bit confused last night with so many riders. Anyway, for what it's worth ... I enjoyed riding with you even though you wasn't aware of my presence

Lots of text :okay:.

One issue I have with Zwift is you need to be able to hit your keys whilst cycling. My laptop is out of arms length so this stupid 'ride on' stuff just doesn't work for me. I'm there to cycle, not makes friends  I certainly don't ride on BKool to make friends

Be interesting to see what extra routes they add. 1 route per day is pretty boring but if they added different routes and you could choose your route each day rather than BKool dictating it (I know there is a workaround but this should be out of the box). Talking to a chap at work who subscribes to BKool and he also rarely goes on he says for the same reason - bored of same courses.

Maybe one day we'll all be in Zwift land, but still not ready for me yet.

Whorty, Zwift is not and will never be for you full stop! No one thing can satisfy everyone. Just doing my public service role keeping everyone up to date re alternatives.

Re the messaging etc while riding that's what zwift link is for on your idevice or soon to be Android device/phone. Not that you have to do it. Nor do you have to use discord to chat over a mic with your fellow riders. Its all voluntary:okay:

Looks like i have to cough up for some fairly expensive dental treatment over the next year involving extractions and implants:angry: So reappraising further and i may just get this:

giant-tcr-advanced-2-disc.jpg

Its IFC in the sales, 105 rather than a mix of 105 and ultegra but i can migrate my ultegra bits, and certainly less bright/garish but it will take my wheels and suit me until the bank of bob has some money.
