Remember to keep something back for the last climb. The first climb is over 10% for probably 1.3km and then goes up to around 12% for another 600m or so....

well done bill
our trainers behave very differently
i get more of a delay before im slowed
also you seem to drop to 300 watts climbing but smash it on the flats
im taking mine apart tonite to look for stiff threads that may be impeding the movement of the stepper motor hence the bigger delay
begger knows why i want to fix it if it makes me faster
it must be an unwritten rule of turbo racing

Thanks very much for the tow AAAC. Probably not much good on the hills but made a big difference on the flat. We were about 3 minutes quicker than my previous time from the winter cup so I'm well happy with that. I would never be in the top ten in that one as everyone just flies past up the hills. Nice to get quite a few of them back on the flat though.
Strange how I can only make 300watts uphill. I used to be good for more than that but software and firmware changes over the past year or two made it a lot harder than it used to be.

I'll join you but it looks a bit grim for me - hopefully see you for the first 20 seconds or so.

Have a good one
How did you get on Wolfie?
You're right about that being grim. It was either too tough going uphill or the legs were spinning too fast going down. Not much in the way of 0.00% which is my favorite. I think most of those ghosts were from previous leagues and were the front runners so not really relevant to positioning in this league.

I'm going to out of action for a few weeks; as of yesterday I have another little piggy in the family to look after! Not sure I'll get the necessary licence from mummy pig to ride especially the evening rides! :mrpig:
Thats me all done, where are the breeze blocks...
Congrats DP :okay:

I took the flywheel and stepper motor (+ magnet slider) and sure enough wedged in the plastic slider was a chip of neodymium magnet.
Remember me saying that my flywheel when for a ride across the room once when I hadn't tightened it properly.
I had reason to brake on a session and the back wheel stopped and the flywheel kept going and undid the nut, or something like that.
Anyway it smashed one of the small rpm magnets and I expect a chip of it stuck to another one and then came away and lodged itself behind the slider.
It's cut a nice little groove in the turbo main body and was no doubt acting as a brake and affecting the movement of the slider..

Great, so not not do you have to add weight to slow you down now you've had a slower bkool unit!

I hate to think how fast you'll start going now, hopefully giving Pep a run for his money...

On closer inspection that is the wrong model as my had the 'ram air' cooling.
I will have another look for the right model

This was mine, the GT250M with the angular RAS (Ram Air cooling System) on the cylinder head.
All 31hp of it:

Objective achieved as at least that one is now out of the way.

It is the first real climbs I have done for a few months, and I felt it.

At my weight anything above 8% and Bkool knocks my RPM down to half what I'm actually pedalling. So trundling up those climbs at 30 RPM is hard work. I suppose it is quite reallistic ,as I ain't that good at climbing out in the real world.

I think I'll pass on Thursdays Bkool scheduled runs, and the chance of winning pair of running shoes - my old bones are way past that malarkey.

Open up your graph and JuanLu's who was 5 minutes quicker.
You graphs are very similar but he climbed a lot quicker than you.

About 3 kph up the first hill and over 10 kph up the second which is where he made 5 minutes in you I guess and got and Elite 1 grading while doing it.

The above one at least has decent wheels and tyres but doesn't have a rider on it to distract from what it really is. I love some of the modern retros and I'd be very tempted for old times sake if I could justify the expense. Not that I really enjoy biking any more and unfortunately I'd not be allowed to keep it in the living room where it'd really belong.
This is what I'd have given the choice:

None of your namby pamby 4 strokes.

My brother has an immaculate 350 LC and also a YPVS. I never got the two stroke bug, preferred big four strokes! Quite fancy a Ducati Supersport, but I think my motorcycling days are behind me. Will probably spend the money on some outrageously priced bicycle instead...
