Great ride once again Bill - couldn't live with you at the end there.

You might have noticed by the way our speeds were out of sync but I had a MASSIVE delay in resistance changes today - made the slope % on screen almost meaningless!

LIVING THE DREAM
Did WC Stage 8 and 9 again tonite as a bit of training for Jacobs Cup in the same order as last we, Qatar first and then that damn climb.
  • I needed to do the Qatar Stage as I didn't save it last time.
  • I was hanging onto coat tails last time as well and my turbo maintenance may have fixed an issue.
  • Went spheres out from the start and was in the lead, for a while, until I was caught by MikMak and Jacob
  • I felt I needed a 52/11 to stay with them so I kept going at my own pace.
  • For all my efforts I reckon I improved my time by only 20 seconds and spent nearly all the stage in the wind.

  • That blimming climbing stage was just as hard second time around but I did knock a minute off of my time.
  • I will have to try it with fresh legs one day but I still don't think I would stay with the leaders.
  • I almost gave up about 4 times which may be evident when the ride lands (if it lands).
  • I lost a lot of time to the leaders in a dead stop when the 10% started.
  • If I get desperate for some GC minutes I will have a better go at it.

Great ride from you too Paul. To be fair I probably didn't do my share at the front in the second half as I was struggling, but looks like it helped me at the end. Your ghost and DP's still came past me though and made it stick. Moved up a few places though

Great ride guys.
Same setup as yesterday, even same warm up, but already during the warm up i knew it was going to be an entirely different kind of ride.
Knocked 40 seconds of my previous time so I'm pretty satisfied with that.

Decided to have a little look at Zwift, after an update I still had 25 km free trial. So did 20 mins, the power was bang on with feel from the onset. Within a few hundred yards I hit a hill climb section, I thought I would have a go at spinning up at a reasonable pace, I came somewhere in the 70s ranking, even without a warm up, some 3.5 minutes slower than first place.

I'm sold on it as a platform, my subscription will start when I get back from Tenerife.

20 seconds off for me. I think we could do better if we had a few days off first but riding yesterday won't have helped.
