Here's frustration:

Just got my Bkool Pro 2017 back from the workshop and they said nothing was wrong with it. I doubt they have tried a bike on it since the noise is overwhelming. Same noise a had on my very first Pro. That alone should be enough to get a replacement unit.

But the main problem is that I can't even ride a normal session. Everytime I start to pedal it looses the signal:

So despite me having 3 ant+ enabled trainers and power pedals, I can't do a proper Bkool session :banghead:.

- I can use my Tacx Satori Smart if I want to go 200 kph at 60000 watts.
- I can use my power pedals if I don't want to participate in leagues and swith to "dumb" trainer mode.
- I can use my new 2017 Bkool Pro if I just want to spin with no computer connected.
- I can use my old Bkool Pro if I want to spend 3½ hours going up the Alpe d'Huez (think I can walk up faster )
Use the old unit on all wc stages at 200 kph and then see if they sit up and take notice. It'd be a laugh anyway!

I got the you have been beaten email (or Bingly Bongly as some seem to call it). Beaten by 5 seconds. I noticed Jacob did some spectating last night so wasn't at all surprised to get the email. Not showing in the results yet of course due to his ride having to be approved first, as all further attempts seem to need.

Probably used our ghosts, and there was me dutifully waiting for him to get over the climb.
Never mind, you win some and you loose some.

Ah, to be fair we've used Jacob's ghost many an attempt at WC stages!

And like DP he's easy to hide behind and get out of the wind (aerodynamically DP!).

The magnets on mine vibrate and rattle very noisily at about 250 to 300 watts and while descending.

On another note, whilst messing with my turbo re-fitting the stepper motor I noticed at time when switching on the magnets motored forwards as the do for the start up routine and from time to time they would get held by their attraction to the flywheel.
I guessed if this happened while you were riding the magnets would get out of phase with what they are supposed to eb set at and increase your resistance unitl the turbo is switched off and reset.
I think the stepper motors may be prone to failure, perhaps why they have gone up to 12 volts now on the 2017 model.
Glad I have kept all of my old ones, I might need them.

You mean gone down to 12 V. My old unit says 15 v at the panel. When I made the salesperson aware of that, he compared the two power supplies and stated that they were identical.

Anyway, I'm bringing my 2017 unit back to shop with my videos attached.

I cant believe Bkool had a custom motor made for them alone. I think a little bit of research would reveal a manufacturer who could supply
