Chain jamming 29 mins 58 seconds into a 30 min FTP Test? Bsim crashing during cool down after coming second in a race? I don't know how I would cope if these things happened to me! Things would be going through windows! :cursing: :banghead:
When I lost last weeks CG ride 1 hour in I was :cursing::banghead::cursing::banghead::cursing::banghead::cursing::banghead::cry::cry::cry:

I know it's frustrating for the Uber riders amongst us. But for us slow un's it's devastating :cry::cry:

Well you have my sympathy Randy. The disappointment is painful, I've been there. I nearly quit the Goat run after 30 minutes actually, to get the rating, but talked myself out of it, simply because I didn't want to redo it.
How the hell did you get any blue numbers at all going up that wall? I don't understand? Or am I being a complete muppet?
For us riders with extra weight on steep hills where it can't generate enough resistance it slows down the speed to make it fair to the lighter riders.

Is it doing that again? It seems that feature goes in, comes out and goes in again, like a yo-yo!

I got the impression that plenty of Tacx Vortex riders were not getting sensible speeds on steep gradients, flying past other riders? Perhaps it is having the same problem as Virtual Speed on some Tacx trainers?

Personally I think it's a great idea, as it gives a more realistic speed and levels the playing field a bit more.

I know it can mean long climbs for heavy riders, but you can always use slope reduction if outside a league, and in a league it's probably only fair.

I'd like to see it applied to Bkool users when they get beyond max resistance as well... :ninja::biggrin:

I've recorded a little video to show the starting procedure for the Handicap race

Please ignore the Warning dialog after entering the password, as it was recorded on a computer without the ANT+ dongle, you shouldn't see this.

The Video shows selecting the live tab, applying handicap in the advanced filter to find the session, seeing the time underway counter and entering the password, then Clicking No to start the session when the underway counter gets to your handicap (in this case 15.0 minutes).

I've left the session running for anyone who wants to practice.

On the computer/tablet you are using. What are you running the bkool simulator on?

Yes. This is on my Bkool pro. I wonder if I drop my premium for the ride if it would give me a way to cheat.

Laptop, but just been reading that if might not work with a Suunto Ant+?

I have a Suunto Ant+ and it works great.

Presume the laptop is Windows? Have you already got Garmin stuff installed on it. You need to ensure that Garmin Express or some other Garmin utility is not running. It may autostart, in which case you need to exit it before running Bkool Indoor.

Impressive!. Thank you very much, it will be easier to do it right. It is funny, for some reason yesterday I was convinced that the handicap session was run, and I rushed like hell to be on time. Since I wanted to uninstall and reinstall the Bsim before the ride (just in case it helped to get the virtual speed thingie and then kick some ass) I didn't have time to think and double-check before joining, and I didn't make it on time so I started a couple minutes after my handicap time (later on I realised something was wrong because there were only 2-3 riders going, and eventually I got some blood in my brain and remembered that the ride was scheduled for Thursday and I should have been riding a goats session). Oh well, my vortex is still handicapped and so am I because I did worse than the previous attempt to the route, something over 2 minutes more. I don't think that I will do much better tomorrow as I have been feeling funny this week....
