I just caught the end of your last ride as I had just been in bsim myself. I was willing my ghost to catch you in the sprint! - it was quite surreal

And then there was the finish line that wasn't quite a finish line and you had to keep pedalling, turn 180 degrees and cross the line again!

I've just ridden stage 4 again and am already supping a beer so don't think I'll be joining you for another mountain climb!

Fighting talk, that has swung 6 minutes in your favour.
However I was 4 minutes up on my target so you are besting me by 2 minutes.
Only another 23/25 minutes saving and we will be besting Pep.

I hope not too many are following a cunning plan like yours these last few days of the BWC.

I would like to at least finish on page 1 of the rankings, without having to redo more stages.

With the indoors season coming to an end I needed some motivation.
I am on page 4 at the moment
It looks like I have moved up to 40th after today.
I am off tomorrow so I will be trying out my final 2 stages to give you a chance to move up if needed.

The table still has me at 185 but this says 40th

Well it would if I could get the screen shot to paste!

Yes, I’m at 37th, so one more stage from you, and I’ll be relegated to 38th (or lower).

I’m off work until Tuesday morning, but it’s my mother’s 70th birthday tomorrow and she is throwing a party at noon. HID and the kids have requested that we stay a night (or two) at my parents, so I probably won’t be home before Friday, and maybe not before Saturday. Then I have to do the CG race as well, so hope someone shows up at the re-run Saturday at 5 pm? If not, I’ll have a final go at one of the BWC stages.

But thanks for the offer! :okay:

Good to know that your mum is still throwing parties a 70.
Mind I'm not much more than 10 years from that.
My mother is 93 and not up to standing much nowdays let alone partying.

Yeah I was able to make up some good time from my previous attempt of stage 4. I may try another of the hilly stages again today if I get the chance. We've got visitors this easter so it'll be difficult to get the time this weekend and I want to get some climbing practice in.

It'd be great if we can get two of Team Cyclechat on the podium - it's looking good at the moment

done last 2 stages today
first half of the second (fondo stage) was a killer with only 30 minutes rest after the first
i was 20 seconds back at the foot of the climb in the middle
has some dead stops and catapults and low watts again in the second which took the peche a bit and bought me back to the front runners
i had one dead stop in a sudden and almost instantaneous minus 17 percent
i beat both my targets by a minute in the first and by almost 2 in the second which could put me ahead of thee

think i got a ticket in a 30 today
i should know better to look as it was a trap hotspot near where i work on lysander road where it is dual carriageway
its so easy to come out of the roundabout and accelerate beyond 30
question is how fast was i going when i was zapped
i looked down as saw 34 and i was already slowing

Well done AAAC in completing the WC. I think that today's rides will indeed put you into 2nd place overall :okay:

I may try one of the mountain stages in a bit but I doubt it'll be enough to overhall you. But it looks like we're safe on the podium unless one or two of the Danes look to repeat a stage or two. We're a fair bit behind Pep though!

Don't think I'll be able to make the Chaingang tonight as I will be enjoying a trip to B&Q. The re-run on Sat may be difficult too as we've friends over, but I'll try and fit the last stage in before the league closes.

I may turn up tonight but in mind only after this morning.
Pity you may not make either.
