Well one may have got sick (We had health problems too - angina and cramp, but we struggled on!) and one a technical breakdown (as did we) but only one of their riders dropped out (same as us).I can see that there is some controversy about the Spanish rider being replaced.
I don’t know about the rules about subsituting, but one of the riders got sick and another ones Bkool broke down.
Looking at the stage results, Spain was better on the first 2 stages, and on the third Moreno and Pep did most of the work in the TTT. So I think it was fair enough. Had AAAC performed as expected on stage 1, things may have looked different. Bridgy also disappointed me on a couple of stages.
But that’s all just water under the bridge now. I’m sure everyone did their best, figthing bad internet, bad Bkool software, angina attacks, cramps etc.
You may fell bad, but how do you think the Belgiaan riders feel, getting floorwiped by you guys and the other teams on all three stages?
But best of all, I’ll keep my cheeks ink-free.
Also You're wrong about Spain being better in the first two stages. We beat them in stage 1.I can see that there is some controversy about the Spanish rider being replaced.

I will just add to that by saying not only did we not have 5 people in the TTT, we also didn't have a 5th rider with fresher legs because they hadn't done all the previous stagesYeah I have to say Brusgaard I totally disagree with you... where we, the Spanish or anyone else finished for that matter is not important. The rules need to be the same for everyone or what is the point in having rules?
As Bridgy pointed out, the rules have been broken.
We had numerous problems through out the morning but we stuck to the rules. If for example we had 5 people in the TTT then the result could of been different.
Whatever the end result, it won’t change the fun I / we had, and shouldn’t take away from the event. It was brilliant and like I said I’m very grateful to the Danish guys for organising it so well.
But the Spanish went against the rules that were written down. Simple.

I take it there is no CG rerun this afternoon that team cyclechat will be joining

Bill you were the 7th member of the team by lending Tommy your trainerWell I won't be starting it but don't let all todays action stop anyone who wants to have a go.
Well done on your commentating and internet etc efforts Brusgaard - I think that's already been said several times, as have thanks to all the Danish guys for organising the event, but I'm happy to repeat it.In stage 1 you may have beat them overall, but weren’t we talking about individual substitution and not the team as a whole? I just looked at the top 10, before making my roemark. Spain came 1st and 6th, your best guys 5th and 10th. Stage 2 they finished 1st and 8th, and yours 7th and 9th.
That said, I just returned home 20 minutes ago, and haven’t had a chance to watch my recordings or take a closer look at the results.
If you feel cheated, you should complain to Skovsgaard or the guys doing the rules / checking for cheats. I only did the commenting and fixing the shop’s internet, without which nothing would have worked...
Held up in traffic.Well I won't be starting it but don't let all todays action stop anyone who wants to have a go.
