Swapped two threshold workouts and a FTP test for that race, which means I will go out too fast for the first 20 minutes. But then again, doesn't everyone ?
All youngsters in the danish race, just one other bloke at my age so far.

I read an read an article the other day discussing cycle schemes in Copenhagen. All sorts of clever things that London politicians would never be brave enough to try unfortunately... But with an edtimated 60% of the Copenhagen population cycling to work each day, and cycling being such a way of life in Denmark, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if we also see lots of Danish champions over the next few years. With all that competition I think you might have more chance if you become an honorary Britain Lars :hello:. We’re all still in love with our cars and sugary foods over here!

Its all very organised Tommy. Me and the Mrs hired a couple of th eequivalent Boris bikes. They were electric assisted. We pootled around the city following everyone else. To experience it, is something to behold, cycling priority. Wonderful city :okay:

Well, I lived in Copenhagen for 20 years or so, had a car but much prefered to use the bike. It's just so easy to get around the city on bike.
My wife and I used to bike from one café to another at weekends, finding all the great spots that you would otherwise never find...and no one seems to get arrested for riding a bike intoxicated .

Lars, I don't know if it's just Copenhagen, but it was so relaxing. There was no whizzing about by riders, 10mph(16km/h) seem average. Amsterdam was a bit full on with cycling, very busy in comparison. I understand Groningen is another cycle orientated town. I must try and get there.

Im very jealous of the cycling infrastructure in Denmark, Holland etc

Unfortunately in Britain most of our politicians only see as far as the next election, and we don’t have the foresight to implement anything that may take longer than that to see through. From my understanding, and what you and Lars have said backs that up, the city’s roads have been designed to make it much easier for people to cycle rather than to drive. So cycling isn’t being part of a tribe. It’s just the best way of getting from A to B.
In London cycling is also dictated by the road design. So the people who cycle are predominantly men, who are prepared to dance with speeding cars and heavy goods vehicles. And the bikes and clothing we choose is more like war paint!

Bit off topic here I know and might get slated for it but I’m curious to try zwift? Can I on my bkool trainer, I’ve read somewhere there is an option to update the hard ware to make compatable but don’t know how. A fools guide would be great :okay:

Depends how old your Bkool trainer is. I think the older ones need a firmware upgrade to enable Ant+ FE-C, but if your trainer is only a couple of years old it should be fine. I have a Pro (the black one) which is about 3 years old I think, and it works just fine. When you open Zwift it shows a screen for pairing your trainer and HRM etc - you need to ensure your trainer is paired as both the power source AND a controllable trainer (should happen automatically).

Have a go, and if you have any more questions, probably best if you use the splitters thread here - https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/zwift-bkool-splitter-chat.215190/page-387

SPLITTER!!!!!

Zwift will work fine with the Pro. Been using it on and off for over a year. I prefer Bkool to Zwift for variety and interest, but as a platform it works very well and if you did like it you'd have no issues at all. Give the free trial a go.

I predict that tonight's stage will not be won by the usual suspects ;).

Have to do the Danish live race at 7 pm, so will not join before around 7.22, if my legs are up for it. ^_^

Otherwise, I guess the Saturday re-run will be without the aforementioned suspects?

Won't be there tonight (although the rest should do me good). I didn't take HID out yesterday so need to do the right thing (from her pov) tonight ^_^
