It was better (and fairer) when we all (mostly) did the stages live on a Thursday for sure
Problem with that is not everyone can ride live as they aren't in same time zone or are away on hols. Does make it more tactical now though and hectic towards the end :bicycle:

@rob01792 , @Jim Brown or anyone else fancy doing CG4 later? Hoping to get on about 4 o'clock as need to try and better my time. Will add ghosts if anyone wants to join me. @bert1971 and @bugno have targets on their backs :gun:

Cheers @Whorty - but if I had to choose one stage not to have to re-run, 4 would be it.. I've stayed off the beer so far today so I'm not ruling it out - plus I've been shopping at Decathalon - new bib shorts x 2, new mits x 2 & trainer cycling shirt x 2.. oh and a new bog seat (Argos) .

On the June Chaingang - for me it's been one of the best. No hills anywhere but a fantastic variety of surfaces made for competitive cycling - Thank you @BILL S

Tdf on in a bit, so will be watching that then on bike afterwards. Let me know by 3.30 if anyone wants to suffer.

Also agree with Jim re this league. It has got me spinning which has massively improved my power and speed numbers :okay:

Looking forward to July

How much advantage du you have from following ghosts compared to riding alone?
I made a little test at CG 4 today.
Last week I did the stage alone in 39:30 averaging 453 watt.
Today I did the stage again. I was riding behind ghosts until 3 km from goal.
My time was 39:20 averaging 388 watt.
So 10 seconds faster using 65 watt less. If I had stayed behind Daddy Pig all the way to the goal, my average watt would have been even lower.
Easy to conclude that riding with ghosts is a huge advantage.

The other advantage of course is that you have a good idea in advance of the effort needed to beat your rivals!

But also your test shows that drafting works well which is a very good thing in general I think.

But personally I'll always take more from 'live' victories than those vs other people's ghosts. I think most of us feel the same to be honest.
