Hi all. Briefly joined last year when I had a Tacx Vortex. After returning the Vortex 3 times due to mechanical issues, I was refunded. Well I got a new trainer today, a Kickr!

I'm debating between Bkool or Zwift. When I had the Vortex, I had unfair advantage when going uphill but at a disadvantage when going downhill. Will I have the same issues with the Kickr?

If you're racing in the leagues, you will be disadvantaged with any trainer that isn't a Bkool. Zwift seems to be a better platform for equal performance of trainers. There are a few members who have now replaced their bkool trainers for other makes and have found out the difference, some use Zwift and Bkool so know fist hand how they perform

Does look good. Amazon were also selling NEO's for £880 earlier this week. I think they have gone up again but they do this every 3-4 weeks and as soon as they do someone posts on the FBzwift page so keep an eye there perhaps? Wahoo uk also had reconditioned kickrs for £650-750.
Thanks bob had a look no offers yet but will keep an eye out.

The winter league has been updated I'm currently 153rd up 200 places.

No one from cyclechat on the first page . Will have to aim to get caught up by the next league standings update. Which probably gives us a couple of weeks. I'll try and join you guys on Tuesday I think.

:hyper: 3rd time trying, I've conquered virtual Bkool Mt. Teide, 3hr 24mins 7100ft climb in 30miles. I get my points this time, mean Bkool not giving any points unless you finish.:shy:
I feel :B), peeled my self off the bike crawled upstairs and into a hot bath to relax cramping legs.

If you want to put up some more times to join my lone 1 user, 1 attempt. Have a go, should suit Breedon, Berty and Bob also anyone who's coming to Wales:biggrin: It is great training hill, plenty of scope to beat my time. The Bots I loaded were Pro and Active and were 50 mins ahead of my time. Only one Lapdog bot stayed with me until the crater rim and then buggered off and left me to finish.

Let's try and plan to ride it together - some drafting and well placed ghosts should help.

Cheers pal.. I won't be bkooling for a week. If you have a go at it before I get back, I'll check in to scrutinise your ride. I may miss stage 6 until I recover from my trip to the Motherland, and come back to it when I have my legs back.

It really shouldn't make such a difference being away for a week, but it really does.. these old joints of mine seize up pretty quickly.. probably due to the outdoor life - that and the slightly moist atmosphere here in the Trossachs..

See ya on the other side..

Going to go up alp d'heuz later at 5pm, going to give back some bingly-bong emails that I've received, so anyone wants to join your more than welcome.
Tempted but I'm feeling a bit rough today - i struggled on last night's CG1 and thought it was just the course, but actually I think I've come down with a bit of cold as been coughing and sneezing. Had a bit of a asthma like attack after the ride, which freaked HID out somewhat  Planning on a slow ride later to build up a sweat but not stress the lungs and chest too much.
