Thought you were gonna have an easy day!
Later this week, what'll you be doing until then...
Did they deliver more than just their wafers?
Just the one lorry, this time. Should last maybe two weeks...
Further deliveries already arranged.

I never get an easy day, I just think I am about to..
Life throws up surprises everyday....

Like this morning,
off west on a flowers trip..
then a via the now fading holiday resort (where I first met Mrs M),
meal deal, lunch overlooking the countryside, and then home.
A planned but random journey back...

Thee lad....
Nah, a 'lay flowers' visit..

Yeah, it might have been a better view than the countryside..
we did lunch in a lay-by (with a view).
Random? nah, just a roundabout trip
After the initial destination, a nostalgia trip to the now fading holiday resort.
two years, four months to 'Golden First Met Day'
and hopefully celebrate with a fish supper and a bottle of fizz......
Tomorrow is back to Toodles etc time...

Got a fair bit of garden stuff done when we got back......
time for a cold one.....

Me!!
Sorry to read that.

It might have been, but you don't get to see any fish in fish farms. Unlike the spring lambs in the fields. All that fresh country air, as the spreading is done...
Lay-by, with a view! Where, and how much did it cost you?
You still able to DJ, spinning that vinyl to keep them on their toes. Fading holiday resort refuses to fade into a memory...
That time will fly by so fast you'll wonder where it went, when it gets here.
Have yer fish n'chips at the faded holiday resort, reliving where you first met. They might provide the fizz!
Back to reality, with a bump then.

First cut of the lawn, dibber put to good use. Another fence panel painted...
Hope you enjoyed the cold one.

It's a regular trip through..

Started this ages ago..
found a problem in my radio stuff..
Now it is soldered and back, running the way it was. I hope
traced it back to a broken joint in the ATU (has happened before)..
Phew..

Mrs M has another great idea for the back garden (again).
I get to use the circular saw later once the holy terror departs...
Off to test and enjoy the quiet UNTIL.....

Going back to yer olde haunts..

Started ages ago and you've only just fixed it! Good job yer not on piece work.
No burnt fingers?
Is it running the way you want it though...
Costly to replace.

What's wrong with great ideas, especially if they give you the chance to play with power tools!
She doesn't like the noise of the saw...
How'd you test the quiet?

Break out todays drink ration
"We are sailing..."

I'd started this post a fair while before I finished it.
I'd to trace the radio problem
Red dot is the wire I had to resolder to to the loading coil
Screenshot 2025-04-01 143126.jpg

It's been an occasional problem in the past...
Then before I got to finishing the post,
Ms M had me out describing her new idea for creating a place for the kids to have a playhouse or something.
The Devil always creates work for idle hands (me).
It'd be chaos if she was out, she'd want to DO the cutting...bad enough letting me

I'm guilty of that, yer honour...
It were in the radio somewhere!
Just a single wire or a multicore? How big is that coil.

No more problems now though.
Who'll be supervising this project, that has previous supervisory experience, keeping the worker(s) in line?
Keep a cuppa nearby and let the devil do his own work.
Never let anyone else use your tools. If anything goes wrong, they'll b blamed as will you because you bought them. Yer not that bad, surely.

Size? it's all stowed away so having a guess, half a can of soup size ?
Plenty of room to solder, hopefully not happen for a long time.
If the radio? back to a radio repair shop I'd think.

Jigsaw blade getting useless but eventually between that and a saw...
Mrs M happy with it so....
a little turf to be removed and then stones, stones....
it'll be a wee while yet before its done.
Not a big area though, bags rather than a big sack of.

I'm sure Toodles has the skills..
Her mum is pretty handy with a saw and hammer
